Barbara Borgonovi is vice president of Operations for Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems. A member of the SAS leadership team, she is responsible for all Operations functions and critical support, such as Facilities and Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability. Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN), with 2016 sales of $24 billion and 63,000 employees worldwide, is a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, civil government, and cybersecurity solutions.
Before her current assignment, Borgonovi was director of Program Operations for Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS), a mission area within SAS. There she was responsible for EWS’ operational performance and operations strategy. Among her responsibilities were capital management and support of critical EWS pursuits.
Borgonovi previously served as deputy of Tactical Products at Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) and was the senior program manager responsible for the portfolio of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems programs and Next Generation Army programs. Since joining Raytheon in 2001, Borgonovi has held numerous challenging positions in program management, supply chain, operations management and quality engineering.
Borgonovi holds a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and is a graduate of Raytheon’s Leadership Development and Leadership Excellence programs. She serves as the Raytheon campus manager for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and is a certified Raytheon Six Sigma™ Expert.
