Bethanie Humphries is Training and Development Specialist for Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Mississippi, Inc. Toyota Mississippi produces the Corolla, Toyota’s highest volume selling vehicle in the world, and represents the company’s 14th manufacturing facility in North America.
Her responsibilities are varied, but her main focus is supporting the facility’s training and development programs for team members in administrative and supervisory roles. She is also certified by the Toyota Institute as a trainer for both Toyota Business Practices and Ji Kotei-Kanketsu courses; and is also Certified Facilitator for Development Dimensions International, a global human resources and leadership development consultancy. Humphries also manages Toyota Mississippi’s Advanced Manufacturing Technician program.
Her 14-year automotive manufacturing career has included involvement in the startup of two vehicle assembly plants, including Toyota Mississippi. Prior to joining Toyota, Humphries was a financial analyst and human resource specialist for Nissan North America in Canton, Mississippi. She also worked for MCI WorldCom, where her career included serving as an analyst for both business development and finance.
A native of Fulton, Mississippi, and graduate of Itawamba Community College, she holds a bachelor’s degree in professional accountancy from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University.
Humphries resides with her daughter, Sydney, in Tupelo, Mississippi.
