Ryan Miller serves as the Associate Director for External Relations for the Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence (CME) at the University of Mississippi. He has ten years of experience in manufacturing-based education at the college level. His primary responsibilities surround interfacing with members of industry, government, and manufacturing based non-governmental organizations, as well as economic development agencies from around the region. He oversees the recruiting of undergraduate students for the CME academic program and assists the CME in its K-12 manufacturing education outreach.
Miller serves as the Secretary for the Mississippi Automotive Manufacturing Association and as a member of the Manufacturing Foresight Education and Workforce Working Group partnering with other universities and colleges. He also represents the CME on the Education Council for the Manufacturing Institute in Washington, DC. He was recently named to Governor Bryant’s Mississippi Defense Industry Task Force as a technical advisor. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Oxford/Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce from 2016 to 2017 and is an adjunct faculty member of the School of Business Administration, where he teaches business law. He is currently participating in Leadership Mississippi, a leadership development program.
Miller received his bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Mississippi’s Croft Institute for International Studies. He also has a law degree from the University of Mississippi.
